22 Days of Giving Thanks-Days 3 thru 6

I’m getting caught up… I hope everyone's week has started out great!

Day 3:
I am so thankful for my family. I really do have a wonderful family. I have a mom and dad who love each other more than life and have been married for almost thirty years. You just don’t hear of that much anymore. Growing up, they were always supportive and encouraging of me and my two sisters. They taught us right from wrong and showed us how to love and care for others. Most importantly, they taught us what is meant to love and serve God.

My best friends are my two youngest sisters, Kelly and Mykell. They are beautiful inside and out. I don’t know how I could love them anymore than I do! We have so much fun together and no matter what we’re always there for each other (even though we all live hundreds of miles away). We’re such a close family-it’s so special.

Day 4:
I’m not trying to get brownie points by saying this, but I am speaking the truth when I say that I’m thankful for my husband’s family. To think that only a year ago, this family I met would mean so much to me and be such a big part of my life is truly amazing. Not only did God give me a wonderful husband, I soon learned why he was so great-because he comes from a wonderful family.  I know I’m blessed because I know it’s rare for others to have the relationship with their in-laws that I have with mine. They are so easy to love. They welcomed me into their lives as though I had known them forever. And not only were they welcoming of me, but of my family as well. We all love and care for each other, and that brings such an amazing peace. They are wonderful and I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Day 5:
I’m thankful for my friends. I love my friends. They make me laugh, they listen, they care and no matter where I go in life they are always there. These friends are the ones who stick around for life and I am so blessed to have them a part of mine. You know who you are…
My Best Friends

Day 6:
I am thankful for my home. Being married and falling more in love with my husband everyday I’m realizing that home is wherever he his. Our house may be in Wyoming, but our home is wherever God takes us together. I love my home.

Jesus, thank you for blessing me with two loving families, thank you for some of the most wonderful friends a girl could ask for and thank you for my home. It is a place of peace because it is a gift given by You. Lord, you are amazing in every way. Thank you, in Jesus name. Amen.
I'd love to hear from all of you-what are you thankful for today?
Have a blessed day,

Rachel
